Start of the season

It is still very cold outside but we brave the weather and put our camping facilities back into full operation. We cannot yet turn on the water though because we would risk that our water pipes freeze.

From now on you can buy fresh bread rolls in our shop from 8am-10am or you...

End of season barbecue with live music

On Friday, October 13, 2017 we will have our this year’s final barbecue on our campsite. Our end of season barbecue will be accompanied by music from the well-known musician Claudius Voelker.

He plays and interprets on his guitar songs with his personal touch from Sam Cook, Paul Mc Cartney, R.E.M. and many more, without taking them their authenticity.

Outdoor pool closed

The outdoor pool has done its job for this season and is closed from now on. As usual we will reopen the pool in June as soon as temperatures allow to use it.

Vintage vehicle meeting „Auf dem Simpel“

For the first time in our history we organise together with the association MG Car Club Deutschland (Germany) e.V. a vintage vehicle meeting!

We welcome all vintage vehicles of British automobile brands and of course everybody who is interested in seeing them.

Our program

Friday September 8^th

- Arrival and get together
- 19:00 - 20:00 seminar for hobby mechanics with Matthias (automobile technician of our confidence)
- Earlier arrival is possible of course

Saturday September 9^th

- Joint country ride (without rating), Departure: 10:30, approx. 12:00am arrival at heathland entertainment centre
- 12:30 joint guided tour. Our thirst of knowledge will be satisfied: we will learn interesting facts about the Luneburg Heath
- 14:00 onward journey to Schneverdingen to the heath garden – Here we can admire the blooming heat flower! A small snack will be prepared for us at 15:00 (cake or bread and dripping)
- Approx. at 16:00 departure and return to...

Jazz night with the Dixi Stompers

It has almost become a tradition, which is why we would like to finish our barbecue night series this summer again with a musical feast. For this purpose we have invited the jazz band „Dixi Stompers“ from Soltau.

The six members comprising jazz ensemble will entertain its audience with old time jazz pieces. Most of the times they play music from the subcategories New Orleans- and Chicago Jazz, whereas they also interpret very special pieces from bands like the Chris Barber Dixieland band or the Papa Bue’s Viking jazz band with their very individual touch.

Sometimes they pull as well specialties...

Visit of the heath ranger

On the occasion of the blooming heathland we have invited the local graduate biologist Jan Brockman.

On Monday, September 4th, 2017 at approx. 8pm the heath ranger will explain more in detail the secret of the Luneburg Heath with the help of an exciting journey through the natural and cultural history.

He will comment live on a picture/ slide show, which includes the ice ages...

Current events for the upcoming weekend

On Friday, 18.08.17, Chris Blevins will take care of the musical entertainment once again during our barbecue evening. With his guitar and his unmistakeable voice, Chris has been a favorite musician for our barbecue evening for many years.

And on Saturday, 19.08.17, a guest prize shooting with the air rifle will take place in the air rifle shooting range next to our tent meadow...
