Jazz night with the Dixi Stompers

It has almost become a tradition, which is why we would like to finish our barbecue night series this summer again with a musical feast. For this purpose we have invited the jazz band „Dixi Stompers“ from Soltau.

The six members comprising jazz ensemble will entertain its audience with old time jazz pieces. Most of the times they play music from the subcategories New Orleans- and Chicago Jazz, whereas they also interpret very special pieces from bands like the Chris Barber Dixieland band or the Papa Bue’s Viking jazz band with their very individual touch.

Sometimes they pull as well specialties...

Visit of the heath ranger

On the occasion of the blooming heathland we have invited the local graduate biologist Jan Brockman.

On Monday, September 4th, 2017 at approx. 8pm the heath ranger will explain more in detail the secret of the Luneburg Heath with the help of an exciting journey through the natural and cultural history.

He will comment live on a picture/ slide show, which includes the ice ages...

Current events for the upcoming weekend

On Friday, 18.08.17, Chris Blevins will take care of the musical entertainment once again during our barbecue evening. With his guitar and his unmistakeable voice, Chris has been a favorite musician for our barbecue evening for many years.

And on Saturday, 19.08.17, a guest prize shooting with the air rifle will take place in the air rifle shooting range next to our tent meadow...

The heathland is in bloom

The time has come again! The heath flower starts to bloom again in different colors in our region, mostly colored in purple.

Extended opening hours

Our summer season started already on July 1^st, 2017.

The restaurant is now open every day from 8am to 1pm and from 3pm to 10pm. Breakfast buffet is available from 8am to 10am and from 5pm to 9pm we serve hot meals for dinner.

Swimming season starts

From Sunday, 21^st of May we will officially open our open-air swimming pool! Initially the temperature of the water will strongly depend on the weather conditions because it is heated by a solar-heating system.

The bus stop of the Heath Shuttle is about 500 meters away from the campsite

The Heath Shuttle is a free ring bus line with a bike trailer, which runs through the Lüneburg Heath from July 15 – October 15, 2017. The bus runs on four "ring lines" and takes you comfortably to the different locations in the heath with their sights and further offers.

We supported it strongly that the Heath Shuttle stops in "Drögenheide"...
