Dear guests,

Today we are contacting you with some special information! Ever since the pandemic hit us, we have been thinking about making our catering more "future-orientated". We are all realising how time and society are becoming increasingly fast-moving and that certain things that have worked well for years or even decades simply have to be adapted at a certain point.

We are therefore saying goodbye to the term RESTAURANT Auf dem Simpel for the coming 2024 season.  The current main building will be restructured and the catering space will be reduced.

Despite all this, the kitchen will remain and we will continue to serve drinks and food of the usual quality. In future, however, this will be exclusively in our outdoor catering area (with self-service) and, as usual, to go (to take away).
Following various remodelling measures, the main room of the current restaurant will in future house the reception.

As you can imagine, this decision was not an easy one for us and was only made after careful consideration and planning involving the whole family! We are aware that this information will cause some discussion and even head-shaking.
However, as soon as thoughts turn to this, everyone should realise that this step was not taken without good reason.

Basically, this decision does not change the basic idea of the "Simpel team": to continue to give you a great time with us and to continue to be there for you as a team.
It may be unfamiliar at first, but unfortunately change is always like that and we ask for your understanding and feedback, which will enable us to continue to optimise the overall situation.

P.S. Even during the renovation phase, our barbecue hall will be heated every Friday and Saturday evening from 19 January 2024 and will be available for "food & drink" 😊
