The decree is there and is valid until May 6th, 2020

On Friday evening we were able to see the decree of the Lower Saxony state government and unfortunately there seems to be a patchwork of quite different decrees by the federal states!

The following regulations were made in Lower Saxony:

  • Section 1, Paragraph 4 stipulates that no overnight stays may be accepted for tourist purposes.
  • Section 1, paragraph 5, sentence 2 also prohibits short-term stays in second homes for tourist purposes.
  • Section 13 states that this ordinance will come into force on April 20, 2020 and will expire on May 6, 2020.

We mention these paragraphs so explicitly because, according to the source pincamp.de, the state of North Rhine-Westphalia has ruled that permanent camping corresponds to the use of a second home. Assuming that the state of Lower Saxony assesses this similarly or equally, it has clearly prohibited long-term camping. North Rhine Westphalia, on the other hand, permits this type of overnight stay in second homes in its decree.

You, dear guests, are simply missing to bring the whole thing to life here and we, too, would have liked a relaxation, of course with specifications!
